As well as various events which took place throughout the day in our Discovery Centre, keepers offered hands-on experiences with a variety of species to highlight the diversity of animals which visitors can see throughout our grounds.

Our gardening team also spent the day planting trees all over the site ... even in the tiger enclosure!

Top conservation prize for Tiger Day!

The success of our 'Tiger Day' was recognised at a ceremony hosted by the British & Irish Association of Zoos & Aquariums (BIAZA).

Shepreth Wildlife Park won 'Best Marketing Project' for the annual event, which has raised more than £16,000 for the wild tiger charity '21st Century Tiger'.

Rebecca Willers, Animal Manager at the park, has recently returned from working in Indonesia to save tigers in their natural habitat.
