INFORMATION


HOURS: 10am - 4pm

TYPE: One-day a week for three months

 Three-week block (Monday - Friday inclusive)

Minimum 15 day requirement 


Please note: all three week block placements are fully booked until: 

17th October 2011. 

There is only limited availability on the 'one-day a week' placement. Your application may be subject to a waiting list and may require you to re-apply at a later date.

GENERAL INFORMATION

General information upon successful application:

On your first day you will receive our Induction Programme followed by an informal interview and multiple-choice questionnaire

Duties include: general husbandry of all species on an assigned section: EAST / WEST / SOUTH (except big cats) 

Due to the primate protocol in place, volunteers do not have direct contact with primates 

It is recommended you bring waterproof clothing, Wellington boots and steel-toe boots (Please note: trainers / sandals are not allowed when working on the Wildlife Park). 

All volunteers / students are required to participate in the native species and enrichment surveys

An up-to-date tetanus is required for all work on-site

All volunteers / students must be over 18 years old
